about

This is an actual sound recording. Waves of sound traveling through the air and bouncing off of walls were combined in multiple layers and separated into various tracks in the hopes of achieving harmonious compositions of audio enjoyment. Unlike other sound recordings of a similar nature, these recordings were captured live in a small room over a garage by Joel Rockey using a four track analog tape recording device in a matter of four days in the late autumn of 2006. The songs were then mixed down into digital format using a personal computer system. In this particular selection of recorded sounds, the listener will encounter vaguely familiar sounds which approach their audible memory wrapped in new clothing. Not the clothing of high society, but rather the rags of a thrift shop thieving hobo. They may appear unpretty and yet after living with these lovable scamps and sharing in their stories of adventure, intrigue, love lost and regained… they become endearing. Perhaps they will inspire the listener to tell their own stories to be spoken into the grand narrative which travels along the path of sound into small rooms over garages everywhere to bounce from wall to wall for all time.
